Reed City

Reed City is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 2,430. It is the county seat of Osceola County. It is the home town of author Timothy James Bazzett.

George Bennard, American hymn composer and preacher is best known for composing the famous hymn, "The Old Rugged Cross". Bennard retired to Reed City, where he died on October 10, 1958.
